Take the Whole Island

The physical island goes to one party — nobody else is on the land.

74 records where the physical island goes to one party. Not the inventory of a resort — the land. The distinction was invented for this register because the word «buyout» hides it: taking every villa at a property whose owners still live on the island is a different purchase from taking the island, and both were being sold with the same phrase.

Read the scope line on any record here and the arithmetic follows from it. On an island held whole, the count of other people on the land after dinner is zero, and every calculation about staff, boats and noise proceeds from that. Where the scope says «whole resort inventory», the count is not zero, and the record says who remains: owners, a marina, a village.

The series spans the whole size range, which is the point. Four bedrooms on a Tasmanian rock and eighty acres in the Exumas belong to the same idea and are separated by scale, not by kind.

Not for a couple. Almost everything here is priced for a group; two people in a house for twenty pay for the emptiness twice.
